Ep. 49 | The Art of Being Alone: Three Ways to Embrace Solitude in Your Twenties
And why you should take yourself on a solo birthday trip
Hiiii friends š©·
This weekās episode is a 13-min quickie episode. Although itās short, itās an important one.
This oneās for all my single ladies.
Because itās that time of year again⦠everyone is seemingly coupling up for cuffing season. Our social feeds are filled with couples posting their apple picking trips or their hikes up the mountains or their pumpkin-carving Sunday afternoons.
But hereās the thing āfall isnāt just about being with someone to couple up with. I touched on this in the October Theory episode, but now is the time to focus on YOU.
If all of this ācouplesā content makes you want to throw up, I got you.
Donāt let it. Let them live their lives. And you focus on you.
In my early twenties, as a single girlie, I was uncomfortable with the idea of being alone. I had just moved into an apartment by myself. It was the beginning of fall *cue the couples content overload* and I felt insecure about being single.
To try to fill the void of loneliness, I dated. A lot. It was fun at first and then I felt empty. By the time I felt this way, I realized I needed to become comfortable with being alone.
I did just that. I went to the movies by myself. I had solo dinner dates. I went on my hot girl walks. The list goes on. I even went on a solo birthday trip (10/10 recommend + see pics below).

The point of this story is that being alone AND being comfortable being alone actually made me more confident. It brought me joy.
On the pod this week, I share what I learned from this experience so you donāt have to go through it (not worth it, IMO). We talk about three powerful ways to embrace solitude in your twenties. From shifting your mindset to creating meaningful solo rituals, weāre talking about how being alone isnāt lonelyāitās liberating.
So, if youāre tired of feeling like you should be with someone this fall, come hang out with me in this episode and letās reframe solitude as your own personal superpower. šāØ
